Probably because they are looking for food from up there.. Or they stay on their to keep warm because all the electricity running through the wires might provide some warmth through the cover... I honestly don't know I am no bird expert.

well. if u want to really know..... the mother is having a baby in the tree so they sit on power lines

the power line omite a lite heat and the tree branches suck the heat out or them so they like the lines
