I was not vegetarian at birth. (my parents are not vegetarians) Nor did I become vegetarian when I was a teen, because I'm not a girl. (Vegetarianism is "cool" like Twilight or the New Kids on the Block for girls, but not cool for boys, at least not in my high school in the early 90s) Rather, I became a vegetarian when I was 34.

Yes. My parents, grandparents, great and great great grandparents, as much as I know were all vegetarians, for religious reasons. Everyone I know, uncles, aunts, cousins - all vegetarians.
