Is this a real email? USPS Delivery Problem No06831?

Today I received an email apparently from USPS.

Here is what it says;

Dear client

Your package has been returned to the USPS office.

The reason of the return is - Error in the delivery address

Attached to the letter mailing label contains the details of the package delivery.

You have to print mailing label, and come in the USPS office in order to receive the packages.

Thank you for your attention.

USPS Express Services.

It also had an attachment that I almost opened.

Is this spam or is it for real?

It comes at the exact time I am waiting for a parcel from the US..lol.

Anyone else got this email?

Cheers,

Hayley

I just sent a long email (I think) but hit the space key while previewing my reply. It disappeared. No time to do again. In short... Be VERY wary. McAffe add-on for firefox flagged it as malware, then my security suite flagged it when I tried to open it The final file (after first opening the zip, and subsequently, another folder) mimics an Excel file with the green 'x'. But Microsoft Excel doesn't recognize it, and the clipboard manager says that it is an unsupported file when trying to 'copy'. Ditto for trying to 'cut'.

I'm killing this baby after first forwarding it for review by Agnitum. Good luck, Michael Hunter.

    Hayley,

100% spoof. We received the same email 3 months ago. Stay away!

Ironic as heck that you are expecting a package at the same time.

I agree with Brian. Your e-mail is not usually listed on a deliver bill, but your phone number contact is - which is why every time there has been any problem with a parcel, I've received a phone call.

No. The attachment is almost certainly malicious software.
