Denver air quality for asthmatics...?

I'm going on a week trip to Denver and I was curios about how the asthma would be affected by it. I know a Pittsburgh steeler had a condition and could not go to face the Broncos in Denver. I was curious to see if asthma would be affected by the air quality in Denver. Thank you for your time if you answer, hopefully I can figure out what to do.

First a lot depends on what triggers your asthma. Air quality in Denver is better than in many major cities its size. Occasionally an inversion will happen when things get a bit smoggy but this is uncommon.

National Jewish Health Center is one of the top respiratory research centers in the country and it is located in Denver. If you have sever asthma, you could stop by their emergency room if you have any issues.

You are more likely to be bothered by the altitude so as someone else suggested, take your inhaler if you are planning on any strenuous exercise and drink lots of fluids.

I am a severe asthmatic and I live in Denver. I honestly haven't had any asthma related issues due to Denver itself. I'm pretty sure you don't have to worry. Also, I have never heard of a Pittsburgh Steeler having a condition that prevented them from coming to Denver, however I am curious to what your sources are.

A lot of the people in my family have asthma and are from out of town and come here (to Denver) all of the time with no problems. You should be OK as long as your not doing activities that has a lot of cardio in it.

If you're not used to higher elevations, such as those in Denver, I'd keep your inhaler on you just in case. The thinner air can make it harder to breathe. As long as you're not running and doing a lot of physical activity, you should be OK, though.
