Are the Kangaroos the new Chokers?

Aussie like to give it to the Kiwi's about the All Blacks being chokers, i think its now fair to say the Kangaroos are choking on some Dog balls!

Kiwi's have won 2 of the last 13 games the 1st was the World cup final, and the second was todays win in the Four Nations final!!!

Knights11 how do you like the taste of Kiwi!!!!!

dude u obviously dont want other users to have any respect for you so congratulations - u have none.

congrats to the Kiwis on a great last minute win - now you know how us Tigers fans feel with plays like that!!

I think what is sad is the amount of AUS fans blaming Sheens/Tuqiri for the loss (cos 1 player can win a game and lose it right? lol). I reckon I would rather congratulate the Kiwis on playing a good game and coming up with the win!!!

Whoever said international RL is a joke is a RETARD!

Well, not really the same given this is spread over two different comps whereas the All Black's "chokers" tag relates to their struggles to win a RWC despite been just about the favourite in all of the last five in a row. The Kangaroos have lost, a 3 nations in 2005? and a WC in 2008, between those and now they have beaten NZ in the 3/4 nation comps. So they aren't chokers, it is simply that the International rugby league is becoming less of a one horse race (though a two horse race is still not fantastic).

The game was more a sign of the times, NZ has a dominant 5/8th, a player in his prime who is at his best (or getting there). Australia has Lockyer, a world class player well past his prime. He will still trouble teams next year in the NRL but this should be the end of his test career. It probably would have been even if the Roos won but I don't think Lockyer would be doing the jersey justice if he hangs around and prevent a viable successor from taking the reigns.

If any team lost two out of 13 games they would be pleased to be called chokers. But on the night, the Kiwis were the better side. The last try was one that will live on in the annals of the game. It does show the difference in the Aussie side when the big names like Thurston and Inglis are out. The Kiwis picked players on form while the Aussies picked theirs on reputation. This should be the last game for a number of players in the green and gold.

Kuruki this is in reply to one of your disrespectful answers on another question.

I cheer for the kiwis as u do, but u dont dare make fun of Brent Tate and Lockyer or any other player who puts his body on the line to make a living.

The AUS didn't have the best players hard luck for the team.

I though that as well, Australian will become known as the team who dominates through the rounds of a series but choke in the big one. Good on the Kiwi's though, they had to do something to justify the tag of world champs.

the key to the question is:

are the kangaroos the NEW chokers?

yes aussie won 9 other world cups but Australia always play well leading up to a game then **** it up against the kiwis when it really matters.

no they havent been chokers before 2008

but i think they are now

World cup wins Australia : 9

    World cup wins NZ: 1

starch pump fart: a couple of rocky years (with ancient players) doesn't discount 50 years of domination

They didn't handle the pressure very well tonight. A few of them seemed more interested in squaring up to the kiwis than playing rugby. When Marshalls on top form and shows his magic there no-one in the world who can stop him.
