Stuck on a last name for a country boy?
I need some help with a last name for a guy in my book.
He lives on a farm in outback Australia. He has short chocolate brown hair, with brown eyes. freckles. He is 19 and his first name is Kai. He has an english and aboriginal background and is good friends with my other 2 characters Finn McCallister and Samantha West. He is a rough as guts kind of guy. I cant find any name that really suits him. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Maybe something ordinary, like Richardson, Gray, Thompson, something like that, they're all English.
Can't say I could give you any examples of aboriginal surnames though :L :L

I looked above for aboriginal languages and tribal names, which are plentiful.
For example, the first King of the Aboriginal people (in 1930) was called 'Dhakiyarr'...
A tennis player, in '71, had the middle name 'Goolagong'...
'Namatjiray' was a artist...
'Ulhuru' is a famous rock formation for these people...
'Truganini' is a famous name too...
And languages names range from...
'Kalkutungu, Yanyuyia, Kala, Pitjantjatjara, Tiwi, Wororan, Miridi, Minkin' ...and more.
I would suggest a simple name, but one that ends with an 'i' - 'in' - 'a' - 'ay - 'ia' or 'u.'
Have fun writing your book.

Oh..I was going to say 'Earl' because I thought you meant 'red-neck' country boy, from like--Alabama, Mississipi, Georgia, etc. But if he lives down under...How about 'Dale'? How does that sound? 'Kai Dale'?
