I don't know. I'm not rude. I just don't like when freaking tourists and mentally challenged transplants from Minnesota are in my way while trying to get places. Move! This ain't South Dakota!

I think it's sometimes their lack of patience....not so much that they're being intentionally rude. Just that most City folks are always on the run and don't have the time for small chit-chat so at times they come across a little brash.
When I came to the US I thought the very same thing, ''how rude'', but as I took time to get familiar with the life style of always being on the go, I think I understand a little bit more as to why they come across that way.
I hope I haven't offend anyone...just my opinion.

Your name says it all. It's because most of them are in a hurry and expect others to be in a hurry as well, so they give an air of intolerance towards anyone who slows them down. It's like their attitude tells you "How dare you take up my time with your nonsense".
