Why do people consider northeast people rude? Ex: New Jerseyians, New Yorkers etc?

They are ignorant and have personal issues. Ignore them, people will have something to say about where you live no matter where it is.

It’s a cultural thing. I live in the south but a few of my coworkers are from the northeast, and I have visited a few times. I have to admit I was a bit taken aback at first but then I learned it is nothing personal. The way they talk or react is a bit straightforward and blunt. Of course not all people from the northeast are this way. The lack of sugar coating takes some getting used to, just ignore it and don’t take it personally, but I find I kind of like it.

Because New Yorkers and New Jerseyians dislike everyone.

I hear a lot of people do, especially those who listen to sterotypes before actually getting to know the area and culture but hey , I consider myself a girl with a lot of manners

I dont see any difference. All american earthlings seem the same to me...except the ones with sourthern accents but thats another story. But ya people shouldn't generalize because they're rude people everywhere.

this is a stereotype...if you approach ppl politely then they while answer politely now if you aproach some one in a rude manner then they will most definatley talk to you rudely

Probably just a few bad apples ruining the bunch, much like other stereotypes.
