Why are Christians in some of Stephen King's novels portrayed as nut cases?
I've seen both Carrie and The Mist on DVD and I've noticed that Carrie's mom is a religious nut case and Marcia Gay Harding's character in The Mist is also a religious nut case. Can anybody explain?

Yes, but the priest from Salem's Lot wasn't a nut and the old black lady from The Stand wasn't nuts, granted, I don't think she was a preacher but she was... I don't know, a moral center I guess with a super power that drew people to her. Sounds vaguely religious. King is an amazing writer and he's not going to grab one group of people and say "these people are always *****". He puts humanity first and he just happens to know a lot about humans.

Why do a lot of our movies place suave British guys as the villain? It doesn't mean they are putting down British people. The somewhat foreign accent and the way they carry themselves and such just works for some movies.

It's probably because they are, and Stephen King is a hardcore Atheist. : D
His books are more believable than the Bible for that matter. That's sad considering those were completely made up by him, but at least he's smart enough to label his books "fiction".

Only Stephen King's movies? The TV is a brainwashing machine, and it appears to be already working, especially to those who sulk in their own ego.
