Three questions about plants...?(I'm still a beginner at this whole plant thing)?
1. What are some plants easy to take care of, but require low light. I heard about crypts and I like the look of them, but I read from multiple sources and some say they should be in high light, and the other half it should be in low light. I don't have a problem with lighting since I have a tank where only one side is bright enough to have plants with high light requirements and then fades to a really dim light to the tank.
2. If I want to keep an Anacharis plant. One can I keep it in either bright or low light? And If I want to plant it, what can I use to anchor it down to prevent it from floating. And if I want it to float what can I do to prevent it from being pushed to the bottom due to my bio wheel filter?
3. I don't have a substrate for my plants, just plain gravel. Is that bad for the plants?(right now I have on amazon sword, java fern, anubias, and a couple of wisteria) and none of those had died at all. Since I don't have substrate, I use those tablets for fertilizing my plants every month, is that okay?

1. low light, easy plants are usually plants that are the darkest green ... plants with colour tend to need high light ... anubias are low light plants that come in many different varieties ... crytocoryne's, again many different varieties, all only need low light, echinodorus i have had luck with in low light ... this is a plant that as red and yellow and green in the plant ... under bright light those colours would show ... in low light, it seems more shades of green ... it comes in different varieties ... for a grass-like plant eleocharis vivapara is nice ... does not grow too fast, i have yet to prune mine but it has grown well with minimal light ... and then you have your hygrophila's, again many varieties requiring low light ... all the plants that require low light, if given more light they won't die, they may grow even better ...
2. Anacharis plant says needs brighter light but in my opinion will grow in pretty much any lighting situation ... if you cut pieces off and stick into your gravel, that should be all you need for it to root in your gravel ... if you want it to be free floating there is nothing you can do to stop the biowheel from pushing it down short of putting a DIY baffle on the filter outtake ... http://www.petfish.net/kb/entry/347/ - how to build a baffle ...
3. plain gravel is perfectly fine ... i have plants growing in all types of basic mediums and all do equally well ... the only thing i found about gravel when compared to sand, when my tanks started to get quite grown in, it made it difficult to vacuum the gravel which is why i use sand now ... a solid fertilizer is perfectly fine, either that or a weekly liquid, whatever you prefer ... considering you already have plants that are doing fine, you must have an aqua-thumb, so happy aqua-scaping :O)

I will try to help you with your questions as much as I can.
1) Some easy to care for plants are Java Fern, Java Moss, Anachris, Guppy Grass, Water Sprite, and Hornwort. These plants will thrive and take over your tank eventually when provided with enough light.
2) Anachris grows well under and light, so low light will be fine. Plant it in the gravel, carefully or float it away from your filter. It will settle into a spot.
3) Fluorite is a better substrate but with gravel you should be fine. With those easy to care for plants, they should survive.
Good Luck, and Hope this Helped.

is this the non-faithie resembling wailing on Obama for no different reason than he's familiar perfect now? while you are going to shrink the Christians any slack, one might think of the day their god died may well be the perfect time. or maybe i'm merely too lots of a sweetie.
