Would McDonald's be as popular if it were named after its founder Ray Kroc?

    Depends on what sort of marketing campaign they had. Dave Thomas named his restaurant chain after his daughter, Wendy, and he did pretty well.

    If they had called it Kroc's, I would imagine instead of a clown, their image would have evolved from a crocodile.

    I've always wondered that too. Where the hell did McDonald come from? haha have you noticed that they've toned wayyyy down the creepy clown part of it too the past decade? You used to see him everywhere and now he's gone. Same with the Hamburglar.
