Pick up a quart of Goo Gone, and a package of rags. (Note: this is a get down on the floor project)
Do a small area to start. Dribble a little Goo Gone onto the area, rub it a little with your finger. Wipe clean.
It should come right up.

well it is granite correct? You can try mineral spirits, if that does not work use lacquer thinner. Lacquer thinner is bought at an auto body parts store, mineral spirits at hardware store.
Pour it on the marble, start to wipe off with a cloth. If it is granite no issues with it coming off.

You can use paint stripper on it but you will need to reseal it afterwards. After stripping you can then sand it with 60-grit metal bond diamond-polishing disk then buff it then seal it. It will be good as new.
