Will this change the way AGW religion followers think of a carbon tax?

Global warming-inspired cap and trade has been one of the most stridently debated public policy controversies of the past 15 years. But it is dying a quiet death.

As a scientist, it takes evidence to change my beliefs. Wake me up when you have some.

In the meantime, the best evidence indicates that

    1. The world is warming. http://data.giss.nasa.gov/gistemp/tabledata/GLB.Ts...

    2. Increased greenhouse effect is the primary cause. http://www.ipcc.ch/publications_and_data/ar4/wg1/e...

    3. We're responsible for #2, hence also #1.

    4. The cost of mitigation is far less than the cost of doing nothing. http://www.skepticalscience.com/economic-impacts-o...

So the Carbon Credit eXchange is gone, and some politicians pockets are lighter. Every once in a great while, the system works! I don't know, I'm not a lawyer, but it seems illegal to force people, through law, to buy stuff...

The aim of the denier movement (at the top) was, and is to stop action on carbon and that (after years of mis-information) is what has happened to one company that set up in anticipation, so much for the denier theory that this was all funded by such groups (who are you going to blame now) but I guess you still have all those other denier conspiracies to fall back on.

The fact is this will make no difference at all to global temp or CO2 levels both are still rising the Arctic is still shrinking, but oil companies will make large profits for a few more years and we will all pay for that down the road.

And what is with you people? Can't argue the facts, so you kill the messenger? Eurotrash, this has nothing to do with climatology. Follow a link once in a while. And Pegminer...I used to think you had integrity, I used to believe that you were above the pettiness, but alas, your answer proves me wrong...again.

    >>But it is dying a quiet death.<<

And the scientific evidence supporting AGW continues to grow in quantity and quality.

I couldn't agree with Dent more.

It wont change alarmists. It is difficult if not impossible to change those who have faith in their beliefs.

When will you start getting your facts from scientists and not bloggers?
