3 AnswersGlobal Warming1 decade agoWill this change the way AGW religion followers think of a carbon tax?
Global warming-inspired cap and trade has been one of the most stridently debated public policy controversies of the past 15 years. But it is dying a quiet death.
7 AnswersGlobal Warming1 decade agoso how does one go about putting real information in front of the AGW religion?
When they all block input using the blocker. Does this just prove that the AGW religion closes its ears?
12 AnswersGlobal Warming1 decade agoDid Stanley Milgram prove back in the 1970's how the IPCC abused their power today?
Are people so gullible that they will do whatever someone with a lab coat tells them to do? Read about this experiment, then decide what you would have done back in the 1970's and how you respond today to such things.
2 AnswersGlobal Warming1 decade agoSince even the IPCC and Prof. Latif announced the end of GW, what's the issue?
Prof. Latif is one of the leading climate modellers in the world. He is the recipient of several international climate-study prizes and a lead author for the United Nations' Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). He has contributed significantly to the IPCC's last two five-year reports that have stated unequivocally that man-made greenhouse emissions are causing the planet to warm dangerously.
Yet last week in Geneva, at the UN's World Climate Conference -- an annual gathering of the so-called "scientific consensus" on man-made climate change -- Prof. Latif conceded the Earth has not warmed for nearly a decade and that we are likely entering "one or even two decades during which temperatures cool."
The global warming theory has been based all along on the idea that the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans would absorb much of the greenhouse warming caused by a rise in man-made carbon dioxide, then they would let off that heat and warm the atmosphere and the land.
But as Prof. Latif pointed out, the Atlantic, and particularly the North Atlantic, has been cooling instead. And it looks set to continue a cooling phase for 10 to 20 more years. "How much?" he wondered before the assembled delegates. "The jury is still out."
But it is increasingly clear that global warming is on hiatus for the time being. And that is not what the UN, the alarmist scientists or environmentalists predicted. For the past dozen years, since the Kyoto accords were signed in 1997, it has been beaten into our heads with the force and repetition of the rowing drum on a slave galley that the Earth is warming and will continue to warm rapidly through this century until we reach deadly temperatures around 2100.
While they deny it now, the facts to the contrary are staring them in the face: None of the alarmist drummers every predicted anything like a 30-year pause in their apocalyptic scenario.
9 AnswersGlobal Warming1 decade agoShould Obama take the Grey Wolf off the endangered speices list?
The EPA is moving under Obama to de-list the Grey wolf everywhere except WY. So is he really that environmentally sensitive?
9 AnswersConservation1 decade agoShould the US circumvent existing laws, like the CAA, by using other laws?
ESA was never intended or designed to regulate greenhouse gas emissions or air quality. So why do we use a law specifically used to protect animals as way to make CO2 a pollutant. The SCOTUS has told the EPA that CO2 must be reviewed and regulations developed that are with their charge, not that CO2 MUST be regulated and reduced. The EPA must do a complete impact on society if they create a CO2 regulation.
3 AnswersGlobal Warming1 decade agoCan anyone tell me where to find natually occurring H2 gas on earth?
or at least in quantities and purities such that it costs less than $1/MMBTU to extract

What ever it takes (except torturing them with the waterboard treatment), even death. Or are these birds more important than humane lives and the loss of billions of dollars.

9 AnswersGlobal Warming1 decade agoSince Clinton and Bush didn't sign the Koyoto protocal, can Obama?
Clue, Clinton read it and threw it in the trash, didn't give it to the Senate, Bush read it and gave it to the Senate.
5 AnswersGlobal Warming1 decade agoDo you plant to stop using CNG in Utah because the PUC allow cost to equal gasoline?
the Utah PSC Docket 07-057-13 allows CNG users to now pay prices equal to gasoline.
I don't wanna say I told you so, but I told you so.
3 AnswersAlternative Fuel Vehicles1 decade agoShould Europe freeze it's citizen or start building coal fired plants?
Russia has shut off gas to Europe. Germany switched to natural gas for power because it can not afford to use power it generates from PV power plants, instead they export their PV power to other countries that have no resources to build power plants. Something has to give or Europe will freeze this winter or next.
5 AnswersGreen Living1 decade agocan you trust NASA's data on GW when they can't even produce a competative space vehicle?
After 2010, the United States will likely be unable to deliver its astronauts to the International Space Station (ISS) on its own. For several years Russia's Soyuz craft will remain the only vehicle available to do that, and the U.S. may find it hard to do without Russian cooperation.
12 AnswersGlobal Warming1 decade agoshould CNG or LNG be considered an alternative fuel?
We like to classify natural gas as an alternative only because we believe it is plentiful and not an imported energy controlled by others. But that in reality it is no different both chemically and politically than oil. Today, natural gas is being withheld from Europe and people are suffering. In the US we import 20% of our natural gas from countries that could block it's import, including Muslim states that control oil. A huge amount of gas passes through hands of the largest Killing machine in North America, the drug cartels in Mexico, could they hold our gas hostage instead of cops?
3 AnswersAlternative Fuel Vehicles1 decade agodid the SCOTUS rule CO2 a pollutant or that it was ubject to regulations?
The sumpremes made a ruling recently on CO2. The EPA must now decide how much regulations on it are appropriated based on all factors including costs. SO, did they rule on it as a pollutant or a regulated item, like water use, CO production, oil spills, ect all of these are not ilegal, you just have to pay fee and document use/spills ect...
3 AnswersGlobal Warming1 decade agoIs CO2 a pollutant or food?
Gore describes carbon dioxide as “global warming pollution.” It is not. It is food for plants and trees. Tests have shown that even at concentrations 30 times those of the present day even the most delicate plants flourish. Well-managed forests, such as those of the United States, are growing at record rates because the extra carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is feeding the trees. Carbon dioxide, in geological timescale, is at a very low concentration at present. Half a billion years ago it was at 7000 parts per million by volume, about 18 times today’s concentration.
