in WWI or shortly after did they have any vehicles used to tow around aircraft?

can be anything form trucks to horses with special carts

    Bombers like the Handley Page type O had a maximum weight of more than 13,000 pounds. They were hardly " ultra lights, and would require a great deal of power to move over a soft airfield.

    They were moved using farm tractors or trucks.

    Larger WW 1 aircraft were towed by common farm tractors and trucks. Most film clips I have seen showed them using tracked vehicles; most likely because of the muddy airstrips.

    In WWI the planes were built out of canvass and wood and were pretty light. People could easily push them around.

    aircraft back then was mostly moved around using manpower. they were more or less ultralight in modern sense.
