What are the best suburbs of Sacremento CA to raise a family?
Possibly moving from a very family oriented "Normal Rockwell" midwestern town to take a job in Sacremento CA. What are the best areas between San Francisco and Sacremento that would be a good fit for a young family ??? Side note: may be looking to purchase a foreclosed home as well.

First it's Sacramento not Sacremento..Sacramento looks a lot like Iowa or Missouri in fact it's like Kansas City MO without the snow. You will find many homes in Land Park that look like Midwest style homes. But, not many foreclosures. Look out in Roseville or Folsom great schools and newer homes and more short sales and foreclosures. Stay out of South Sacramento, and all the really cheap area's i.e Rio Linda

I agree with the first answer. Rio Linda is a family friendly oriented neighborhood, it is a highlight of the Sacramento area.

Rio Linda. You'll probably be able to pick up a foreclosed home there.
