is victor on young restless retireing soon?

Boy I sure as hell hope not I think he signed a new contract just last year, where would the show be without him or Mrs.C !

No I don't think so.

It's in his best interest to stay. It's not like he'd get a lot of work elsewhere. He will forever be typecast as Victor Newman.

Although I saw some of his very early work. He was on a very old episode of Bonanza or Gunsmoke. Strange to see him pre-Victor.

But I think at this point "Victor" is Eric Braedon's role of a lifetime. It'll say "played Victor Newman" on his gravestone.

I haven't heard any rumors that he is leaving. Every now & again he threatens to and they give him more money. The last time some of his cast mates took a pay cut in order to give him the raise he wanted.

I'm not sure how well the show would do without him.

NO!! what would everybody do without him? He's the one that made the show and if anything happen to him, Young and the Restless will go down...Unless they can find a replacement that looks and acts just like him..He been on that show since 1973..=)

God I hope not.........the s/l have been crazy enough and Y&R is not what it use to be (been watching since the 70's) Y&R has always been my favorite soap......and hopefully Victor will not be going anytime soon.....he might think the s/l's are not all that BUT I hope he sticks it out.

Y&R tried to "retire" him a few years back and he fought them tooth and nail. He even took a cut in pay to get his role back. Acting has been his life for most of his life. Look at Jeanne Cooper. She's older than Eric Braeden and she's still hanging in there.

i agree with the others: I hope not...he is the show, just like Stephanie is the show for BB.

although I am tired with some of the trite storylines (really, getting Nikki back to the bottle, what the he11 is a slush fund?).

No, Victor is not leaving... we'll soon shall see events of him bringing Adam down...This already awesome show is gonna get even better..more ways than one. Stay tuned :)

no old money bags,is now in is early 80s. he wil die doing this show just like old lady chanceloor. did the old bag never retired, and old money bags will never retire. hes just sighned on again/ he will, have too stayaround too see the lush , nickey drink ike a fish. and wander around never notice it
