A Gift for a Depressed Friend?

My friend is going through a really hard time. Her two closest friends (including me) graduated early from high-school a little while ago. Then her boyfriend moved away (they haven't broken up, she just can't see him very often), and her step father is being an incredible asshole to her through it all. She suffers from unbearable migraines daily and there isn't a medical reason other than stress and genetics. She's not doing well and it hurts to see a friend in pain.

For the Christmas season me and some friends are putting together some care box type things for her. So far we plan to have Drawings, poems, and maybe mixed cds... any suggestions?

Give her a big teddy bear, and a big hug. If she like a certain style of clothes, by her an outfit of her favoite color. You can also buy her a really nice sweater that says BEST FRIENDS or something liek that. Try getting her a really special locket, or get something from Things Remembered.

Why don't you also try to get her a really interesting book to get her mind off of things. Try buying a poem, or photo frame from Hallmark. You can also get her a coffee mug, she might like that. Make lots of food, and buy her LOTS OF CHOCOLATE and sweet stuff. And lastly, make her feel like she's at home :D

You can bake her some brownies or cookies. You can get her a nice big teddy bear too.

flowers, comedy movies, and hang out with her like playing dress up (even though your grown up but it'll be fun), have slumber parties, play monopoly, sing along with songs, or anything that you could play with her to get her mind off of depression.

Nicely framed photos of all of you or of her pet if she has one. Or just a framed photo of something she loves.
