Why do people think it's okay to get abortions?

sometimes people just want to get rid of all their problems and maybe being pregnant is their problem. You cant really determine what you'll do if you haven't been in that situation.

maybe being pregnant is hard on her because of her families morals and she thinks thats whats best. its an outlet for many. and if a girl was raped it might be to forget what happened although i dont believe a child should pay for someone else acts, but it traumatizes and scars many. you just have to be put in that situation to really be able to answer this question

Put it this way: If you are "responsible" enough to have sex, you are "responsible" enough to have and take care of a baby. Personally, if I were raped, an abortion would happen immediately. I do not want a stranger's baby inside of me. I don't want to have a child and tell them about what happened and how they were the outcome of a horrifying event. What would you tell your child if they were the outcome of rape? If you are raped, I can understand getting an abortion. If you are just out having "fun", suck it up and take care of YOUR responsibilities. By the way, though women are more likely to become depressed after an abortion, their body is strong enough to have another child. That is how the female body was created.

Here's something to chew on - and my guess is that you had no idea - birth control pills do not prevent zygote formation (conception) - they prevent implantation and pregnancy. So, I you folk want to be consistent based on your religious dogma (forget "quickening" - you ignore the parts of the Bible that are not convenient) you have to speak out against the birth control pill as well as medical abortion procedures.

Why do you think there is always Adoption? Everyone is not out adopting children. Some people adopt, and a majority of those people want BABIES. What about the babies that don't get adopted? Children have ages 0-5 to get adopted, if they are not taken then they go into the system. No one cares about children that do not biologically belong to them. That is why so many children are abused, and neglected. How man Names of children can you name who were saved from abortion, but are getting raped, and starving? How many children are being helped? How many of these children are happy? Can you tell me? No, because no one genuinely cares. Why do people walk over the homeless man on the street, yet stone the man who couldn't afford to feed his dog? Why are peoples priorities so skrewed up? It is best to concern yourself with the people who are HERE and SUFFERING, its best to do all you can to help, with DONATIONS, and VOLUNTEERING. Not judging women for what they are doing that they feel is best.

If you think abortion is murder, don't get one.

*then take a minute to think about all the babies born everyday addicted to drugs, or with fetal alcohol syndrome, because their mother was young, stupid and messed up. Think about all the children sitting unwanted, in the foster care system. Think about all the children who grow up in abusive households, neglected, because their parent's weren't emotionally/financially/physically ready to have a baby........and made a mistake and got pregnant because sex education/birth control isn't available to everyone and isn't that cheap.

Abortion Is sometimes useful. ( in such cases ) .

But most of the times, it shouldn't be a solution .

Because mainly of what abortionists have told them. They have convinced many people that a child is not a child until it is out of the mother. And as long as it is not out of her, it is a big clump of cells. Its just horrible. And in some states, thank God not many, there is a type of abortion to where you can kill the baby when it is being born. There is no excuse for that.

EDIT Don, our world is not seriously overpopulated. Populations are in fact declining rapidly in Japan, and many European countries, and is just holding steady here in the US. Pay attention to stuff.
