Will Vick haters be in mourning this Thanksgiving over the great mass turkey slaughter while enjoying dinner?

Update:

ps to watch...no I'm not. But its funny how few responses there are to this for a topic that usually attracts his haters like flies!

Update 2:

Ps to loc: so what do you have against turkeys? why shouldn't they get to live too?

Update 3:

pps...ah...so if pit bulls were DELICIOUS it would be different?

Update 4:

Hey loc...whatever rationale works for you. Enjoy your meal.

Lol Those same Vick haters (hypocrites) Will be eating turkey, pig (ham), and heck that's ok right? LOL Maybe they're even wearing fur. But I bet they won't feed their dogs any of the turkey or ham right!? Cuz it's too good for the dog. Irony, I tell ya

The OP's (extremely fallacious) point is that people are hypocrites for scorning Michael Vick because we eat meat.

    a. The the killing of Thanksgiving turkeys is for a *meal*, something that serves us a purpose. Vick just tortured dogs. There was no natural benefit to what he did. Humans are omnivores. Get over it.

    b. Really? Are you really comparing the life of a turkey to the life of a dog?

EDIT: @ Most wise OP, I didn't say that turkeys shouldn't get to live, As in "KILL ALL TURKEYS! KILL ALL TURKEYS!" But nice attempt to subtly twist my words.

Do you really not see the difference between the killing and consumption of an animal for sustenance and the killing and prolonged torture of an animal for jollies and money?

You are truly the best kind of sophist. Consuming a turkey for a meal is on the same level as running a dog fighting ring. Congrats.

You do understand that its not just the fact that Vick killed dogs, its the manner in which he did it.

He hung them, electrocuted them, shot them, and body slammed them into the ground until they died.

When turkeys are taken to slaughter they are killed in a way that won't cause them great discomfort. They are also being killed for a purpose (to be consumed), the dogs that Vick killed were killed for no reason.

PS: I'm no crazy animal rights activist, and I accept that Vick has paid his dues to society and has earned a second chance at life. But you cannot draw a comparison between the slaughter of turkeys for the purpose of sustenance to the senseless torturing and killing of dogs.

Re: the few responses--That's because it's early in the morning and college football is getting ready to come on. Well, you might be on the east coast, but I'm on central time just an hour behind and, to me, it's too early, haha. I'm just killing time until the games start.

So I assume you don't eat meat or vegetables. If you think all living organisma are the same, you can't consume any organism that was alive.

So, eat rocks. Well now, shouldn't all material have the right to not have it's existance tampered with??

    No not at all .

Anybody who thinks a turkey and a dog mean the same thing to "normal" people really needs more education or life experience .

Ignorance is curable but stupid is forever .

Haha do you hate Vick? He had an awesome game last week, he never played that well for my Falcons.

Michael Vick didn't eat the dogs after he killed them

Vick may be the one getting slaughtered!

That one of the reasons the game is being played.
