Popping or clicking sound in my jaw I bite or open too wide?

This has been a developing problem for the last few months for me. Everytime I move my jaw to my right or open too wide, sometimes chew.. the right side of my jaw clicks or pops I guess. I've put my finger on a spot a little bit below my ear and towards my cheek but I don't know what it is! I'm thinking it's TMJ but ain't positive. I'm in tech training for the USAF so I haven't had time to get it checked out. Any tips on getting rid of it would be helpful. Thanks!

I have the same thing, except my jaw locks on me now. I went to the dentist and they said see an orthodontist, the orthodontist said I have an underbite and a very large lower jaw. He also said in going to need braces AGIAN and that I have to go into surgery they have to brake my jaw bone and keep my jaw shut for / months. The whole procedure would take up to two years. And then he said that there is a 50/50 chance that it will work. So I said no, and now I'm just dealing with it. /:

It sounds like TMJ. You need to have a dentist diagnose it before you try home remedies. You could make it worse.
