Have the Christians in R&S taken look at Y!A "Christmas" lately?

I suggest it indicates that they may be losing the fight over what Christmas is about.

Presents, Presents, Presents, Food... with an odd scattering of other items, largely Decorations.

Not that that's my idea of a great Christmas...

Question two, then: what's your idea of a great Christmas? Are the folk in R&S different from the inhabitants of "Christmas"?

Update:

Pennywise, et al., I'm not against anyone's way of doing Christmas, *even if* it's not to my taste.

But there is so little mention of the Christian Christmas in "Christmas" that it is remarkable in the literal sense.

It is very interesting how much the Media influences their audience. I think holidays in general are about society holding up their traditions. Traditions, like anything else, can be seen for good or ill. I think we make Christmas what we want to make of it. It can be a time for Christians to remember the birth of Jesus Christ, if that is what they choose to focus on. Some may only see it as a time to gather family around them and reflect on the hope for world peace. Then, there are still others views, where Christmas, Easter, Valentines Day, etc; are a business opportunity to make more money. Being aware or conscious of reality or the truth, is the important part; this way we are calling the shots on how we want to live our life, yes?

I don't think we are losing any fight. Christmas isn't and never will be a fight. Take into consideration that the majority of people are not on YA at all, so the opinions represented are not of all people.

Judging by the ages of many of the answerers, I would say that very few adults in this world are having anything at all to say on Yahoo Answers. But, who cares anyway? We can all celebrate what we believe. A great Christmas for me requires no more than being with my family. Who can really take that away from us?

Merry Christmas ?? Seasons Greetings ??....happy festival of the Saturnalia....celebrated by the pagans before the Birth of Christ...then that roman catholic church decided to step in and mask it over calling it Christ - Mass.......You will not find anyone including Jesus or his deciples or anyone in the 1st Century celebrating their birthdays....Jesus is not the Reason for the Season........Christmas is a pagan babylon tradition...and no true christian would ever think of getting involved in such a ridiculous holiday.......But >>> don't take my word for it....Look in Jerimaha 10 2-5 >> christmas trees forbidden in our homes....

There's nothing wrong with celebration. Christmas is a celebration of the Lord's birthday. I'm not going to apologize to anyone for enjoying the holidays.
