Are Wikileaks and Wikipedia linked?
Are they linked or part of the same company or are they entirely independent of each other?
If Wikipedia is linked to Wikileaks i don't want to use it anymore. I don't support wikileaks and do not want to support any companies that are tied to wikileaks.

A wiki was a public database that anyone could edit.
Wikipedia and Wikileaks was both built using wiki software.
I don't think the connection goes any further than that.

They are linked in the same way that HomeDepot and Lowes are linked. They both use some computers running windows. Wiki is a style, which is supported by various types of software. MoinMoin in Python and MediaWiki in PHP are two free editions. Confluence is an enterprise-class Wiki software for about $1 per user.
WikiLeaks doesn't seem to allow user editing or else moderates it heavily and probably does not classify as a Wiki, while Wikipedia has an elaborate set of rules and warns if a page has not met all of them, but does allow public input. I don't see anyone on the list of contributors who is common to the two, but there may be. That is hardly evidence of a link, since I could as easily prove a link between non-Partrisans and Wikipedia by editing an article.
Anyway, there are 46 software packages that make wiki pages, mostly on the web, listed at the link, so the name, "Wiki" can refer only to a style. I worked for a software company where a lot of our collaboration for new versions was handled by an in-house Wiki.
