If the United States goes in to a depression, how vulnerable would we be? Would European allies go after United States soil, would we be completely defenseless to attacks?

Personally I think Europe would go after the US in the form of monetary policy and the Euro dollar and G20 banking Cartel.

Basically this would amount to control through including the Fed in that system which has been started in many ways.

My bigger fear would be a country like China going for US soil.

Also although so many are convinced of how strong our manufacturing is, and how much we do manufacture arms, we have to be aware that we are destroying our manufacturing base. If needed it would not be easy to retool fast enough to be effective.

Do you really think we British want the USA? We already have the best country in North America. Canada.

Not to sound overly patriotic, but our military is way too ridiculously powerful for a full on war. And Britain or other allies (israel, south korea, etc) wouldn't really attack
