Introducing techniques to kumite?

I'll just say it right now, my sparring needs work. I find myself relying on the same few techniques and they aren't really doing it for me. I've picked up a few techniques and run some drills but I don't feel confident in using them when I spar which is kind of a waste. So I'd like to know the best way to introduce them to my sparring.

Your lack of confidence in them means you have yet to train to use them properly. Keep training them so they become second nature, and you'll apply them naturally in the flow of kumite. Don't rush it, don't force technique. You can only apply it when it's natural, and the opening will be like a gift laid out in front of you.
