     x = number

      expression → 7 • (4x + 3)

    it should be

    7 x (4(number) + 3)

    in thise case, we don't know what the number is, so u can just write anything for (number) such as "x"

    product means multiply and sum means add

    sum of 4 times a number and three = (4x + 3)

    so multiply that by 7

    you get 7 x (4x +3)

    x=a number.

    If she needs to solve it, it would be 28x+21, and then solve for x.

    i think thats mathematically correct.
