Mysterious program in my taskbar. Please help!?
I have a tab in my taskbar that has an icon of a blue box with a white flower-like picture on the inside. If i click it, nothing happens, but if i run my mouse over it, it shows what looks my control panel.
This started appearing upon bootup around the time i installed the latest internet explorer (i'm not sure if it's related).
You can see the mysterious taskbar icon here: http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=245emvk&s=7
I also opened up my task manager and the processes that are running can be viewed here: http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=25qgm1j&s=7
Could you tell me what application it is and how I can disable it upon start-up? Thanks in advance!

This might not be the answer you are looking for but try asking the guys at Microsoft.com if this doesn't work. they have live chat support.
I will ask my friends to see if anyone of them knows anything about this.

I use an older version of Windows, but I'm guessing based on your running processes (great idea to post the pics btw!) that you have a Windows Media Edition version. I'm also guessing that it might be the "ehtray.exe" running process. I would not stop or mess with it until you get conformation/more info on that process...Contacting Microsoft support is a good idea. What you want to find out is if you can disable or hide that icon without affecting anything else. I'll leave a link to a search page with computer help sites also.. Hope that helps!... :)... EDIT: Jeeze, is it that simple to just right click?! It may be, right click probably has a hide or exit option... Kudos to "globeweasel" for having a brain, if so!...
