Any advice on Big Bear hiking in the snow?

I've been to Big Bear a couple of times during the summer, and have hiked holcomb valley and a few other places. For the first time, I will be going during the winter (xmas through new years) and was wondering if you had any suggestions on trails that would be accessible during this snowy time of the year? Thanks!

With snow shoes anything is still accessible, Go to the lower elevations first often the desert side beyond Baldwin lake remains snow free till late in the season. Baldwin mine and Doble ghost town site is a good combo hike this time of year. If your into Geocacheing a few are in that area. On the front side the Santa Ana river trails lower sections remain snow free below Angeles Oaks. In Oak Glen Riley's farm has a huge nature conservancy section with some nice trails. Off hwy 330 in the front country is city creek rd with several nice trails. A good resource to get is San Bernardino Mountain Trails: 100 Hikes in Southern California by John W. Robinson and David Money Harris these 2 guys have truly hiked all over those mountains and know all the nice spots even in winter.
