Your list of top 10 Wrestlers from 2005 - Present?

Mine would be:

1. John Cena (I know we all hate him, but he has been a maineventer since 2005)

2. Batista (Again, some may hate him, but he also same as Cena became a maineventer in 2005)

3. Shawn Michaels (I liked how he did step down alittle bit to let the younger wrestlers take the mainevent scene, but it was nice of having rare HBK matches in the mainevents during 2005 - 2008)

4. AJ Styles (This guy made TNA, and he also had good matches with Daniels, Samoa Joe and even Sting)

5. Samoa Joe (Joe rounds off the top 5, I think his debut in TNA in 2005, was very well hyped, and also some of the feuds he has had in his career are great, his current stituation is rather pathetic as I believe he should sign with another promotion.)

6. Randy Orton (Same as Cena and Batista, he started becoming a maineventer ever since his first title reign and then the feud with Triple H, then the long 9 month feud with Th Undertaker which was by far the feud of 2005, wonder why they gave it to Triple H vs. Batista????

7. Eddie Guerrero (Guerrero's 2005 year was the last year we saw him in, his great matches with Mysterio also were great)

8. Rey Mysterio (He proved cruiserweights can be world champions, but a shame they used Eddie's death to push him)

9. Bobby Lashley (I dont care what you say, even though he is an MMA star, he seems like he was a great wrestler from 2005 - 2007. His matches with Booker T were decent and also his heel turn against Cena in 2007 was a good new charcacter for him.

10. Booker T (He started becoming a maineventer in 2006, but his World title reign was boring but enjoyable as he did beat alot of top superstars)

Give me your top 10 from (2005 - present)

I rate by performance, so here we go

    1. Bryan Danielson - multiple classics establishing himself as the best wrestler in the world

    2. Austin Aries - fantastic matches, and an all round performer, arguably the best going right now. He has held the ROH title twice in that period.

    3. Edge - been a main stay maineventer in this time and an overall great performer. Slowed down a bit though.

    4. Kurt Angle - not much needs to be said

    5. AJ Styles - one of TNA's few bright lights

    6. Nigel McGuinness/Desmond Wolfe - made his name in ROH. Fantastic performer over this time with his multiple classics in the ring. Started off well in TNA but new management and injury has slowed him down last 12 months. Would be higher otherwise.

    7. Rey Mysterio - consistent as they come

    8. Chris Jericho - would be higher but he missed a bit of time in this period

    9. John Cena - top guy in the WWE has to be on here

    10. Shawn Michaels - doesnt do a lot most years bar a few great matches here or there but thats good enough to have him on the list.

I should add these are me ranking the guys based on 2005-now performance wise. So the higher guys have been performing well for all of that 5 year period. Eddie would obviously be on my list if it were just a best wrestlers in that time list but ive judged based on that whole time period. Just needed to say that for clarification.

Cool question, here's my personal choices

1 - Kurt Angle <-- Greatest wrestler of all time.

2 - Sheamus <-- OK so he's fairly new to the WWE scene, but I've watched him rise from IWW (Irish Whip Wrestling) to become WWE champion in 5 short years. Success story doesn't even describe this guy

The Next 3 wrestlers have been chosen for the same reason and that reason is that if it weren't for them, TNA would definately not be where it is today, they have carried TNA on their backs since the beginning.

    3 - AJ Styles

    4 - Samoa Joe

    5 - Christopher Daniels

and now to carry on with the list......

6 - CM Punk <-- again, another success story, his transition from ROH to WWE has been flawless and despite his heel turn, he is still one of the most liked wrestlers of today

7 - John Cena <-- Much of the same although he has been with WWE for nearly 9 years, he has accomplished so much in what, in the wrestling business is classed as a very short career and he still has decades to go.

8 - Randy Orton <-- Same again, i'm afraid, I've chosen him purely on what he has achieved in such a short amount of time.

9 - Jay Lethal <-- I love this guy, he is one of the most entertaining wrestlers both in and out of the ring.

10 - Mr Kennedy/Anderson <-- Possibly the best promo cutter since The Rock and his in-ring ability is amazing. He will be a huge star for years to come. WWE made a huge mistake letting him go!
