You might have two bible accounts mixed up. If you read revelation ch.12 it speaks of a woman bearing a son and going Ito the wilderness to be protected by God-- this has a symbolic meaning. Buy one of the prophets,Hosea, who also wrote a book with his name had a wife that committed adultery and God had Hosea write about it in comparison to the nation of Israels unfaithfullness to God.
