Could I have a yeast infection?
For the past few months my vaginal area has been very, very itchy so I've been applying diaper ointment to the itchy area. I also have been taking probiotic pills from the health food store in case it was from yeast. Lately though I've noticed that I've been getting a lot of acne all over (a bunch on my chin, one on my arm, and a couple on my thighs) but I only have one pimple which is sore on my vagina. I am also a little stinky down there. Does this sound like a yeast infection? If it is should I go to the doctor or continue taking the probiotics and wait it out? Thank you!

even if its not a yeast infection there is many other things it could be, i recommend going to the doctor if its bothering you that much.

if it is itchy then yes it is a yeast infection but also probiotics well from my doctor those are for your digestive system and for when you are on antibiotics thats not really going to even help it.. you need to go and get like vagasil or even menastate not sure how to spell it and i am feeling lazy to look it up.. but i feel the best treatment that works the best is to go to the doctor and they will give you a pill that is for it and that works 100% even in a day you will start to feel a little better

why not see your doc & handle it now?
probiotics are good! take them even if nothing is going on.. they are good for you, especially in that department.
yeast doesn't typically itch, & if it smells... then it's def bacterial vaginosis (BV)..
a lot of girls do get them hand in hand.. so if you have a yeast infection, the monistat will help you for now.
go to your docs, tell him you have bacterial vaginosis, get antibiotics from him.. take them until they are all gone (even if the symptoms have all stopped) that way it will fully get rid of this harmful bacteria down there... yeast infections don't smell. that's bacteria.
oh if you take the antibiotics don't take the probiotics until after you're done.. lol
oh and fyi it's not that big of a deal.. i know plenty of girls that have had it several times, including myself.
Source(s): i have had both.. at the same time. shittty :( good luck (: you'll be fine!
