On your computer go to:
Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Disk Defragmenter > Defragment
You might want to follow the same path and do a disk clean up first before doing the defragmentation to remove obsolete files:
Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Disk Clean Up
You will find that your computer will run more smoothly afterward. Good Luck

Click on Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, Disk Defragmenter.
Before starting make sure you disconnect from the Internet and disable any screen saver.

All Programs
Accessories
System Tools
Disk Defragmenter
With a modern, large, fast disk-drive there is usually very little fragmentation so probably not worth it. Especially if you are only using a small percentage. If it is an old, slow, small capacity drive, nearly full, then your best bet is to buy a new one.
It also takes AGES to defrag a large HD
