How do I stop this malware or virus from hacking my computer?

This is very embarrassing, for the past couple of years I've been receiving junk-mail that advertises Viagra and other medications, these email somehow bypass my filters, a typical email would appear like this one which I retrieved from my junk folder just now;

From 'Timothy Price' SheWi llBe WithYou Al wa ys,V iagr aP ro,‏

- This I could just about tolerate by just dumping them into my junk folder, but recently there has been a sinister development, it's now hijacking my PC to send similar spam to all my contacts, this can happen when I am at work, or sometimes like last night while I am working on my PC.

I get flooded with emails notifying me of a 'send' failure as in;

From; Postmaster@hotmail.com Delivery Status Notification (Failure)‏

But some of them - if not all are landing in the inbox of my contacts.

I've full scanned my pc with Malwarebytes and AVG but the results are clean for some reason.

Any help in resolving this problem would be deeply appreciated.

    Ken,

    Open up one of the e-mails, and at the bottom, you should see "Unsubscribe". Do this everytime you get spam e-mail.

    But I do recommend you make a new e-mail account, since your e-mail account has been compromised.

    Okay first of all. DO NOT click anything suspicious that pops up on your screen e.g. a virus scanning software that you've never heard of telling you to pay money to remove the virus. THIS DOES NOT WORK (its a scam)

    what you have to do is go onto the DELL website and download some of there virus removing software (make sure its the official website) or call them and ask if they can remove it themselves.

    oh and my biggest tip of all...!!!DO NOT DOWNLOAD ANYTHING OFF OF RANDOM WEBSITES!!!
