Depends what we hope to achieve, whether that is in terms of cinema or the world at large. But here goes:
"Waiting For Superman", a fine doc about the education crisis in the US. Will be nominated for an Oscar.
"Girl With the Dragon Tattoo" is the first in a series of three movies with a very strong female lead. That will hopefully be something we will keep seeing more of.
"Inception", not for the hope that we can tamper with people's minds, but for all that we can keep learning about it and all the doors that that can open.
"Gasland", the doc about natural gas. Hopefully we get more green and less gassy.
"She's Outta My League". The eternal hope that girls will pick better when they're young instead of constantly picking the kinda guys who seem like that pale, mysterious, smelly-looking vampire with greasy hair from Twilight.
