The amount of wood that woodchucks would chuck on a given day varies greatly with the individual woodchuck. According to a Wall Street Journal article, New York State wildlife expert Richard Thomas found that a woodchuck could chuck around 35 cubic feet of dirt in the course of digging a burrow. Thomas reasoned that if a woodchuck could chuck wood, he would chuck an amount equal to 700 pounds.

I was hoping that commercial would answer this question but since they used two woodchucks the actual total of wood that can be chucked remains a mystery.

That's an old riddle, not a TV commercial. There is no answer but you could invent one. The answer could be 100 chucks of wood.

My husband loves that commercial. The answer to your question is.........they will chuck that wood until it's gets dark out and they will do it again until that guy shoots them.

I love that commercial, reminds me of bored kids in the country doing things like that.

I like that one. It is cute. Notice they continue to chuck even after the guy who owns the wood tells them to stop.
