It's old news, Jayski reported this a while back, but I haven't seen it brought up here. So, since the season is over, whataya say?

Germany makes some very good equipment. Did you know they made some of the worlds greatest prining presses? http://www.apoloinformatica.com.br/imagens/parceir... When they first brought the Volkswagen Beetle to the United States the American automotive manufacturers were a little frustrated by the fact that these cars would run so well with very little maintenance. That was due to their design. Anyone who has owned a Jetta knows how well these cars can perform. I even owned a Jetta that I bought used and drove it until it had a quarter million miles on it, before I sold it and bought a four wheel drive truck for the brutal Minnesota winters. Volkswagen has always made far better automobiles than the Japanese auto manufacturers. Germany has the next best metallurgy compared to the United States. If NASCAR wants to introduce another manufacturer into auto racing, I think we have waited long enough, that it would be a great addition to the competition.
It doesn't matter to me anyway, because you know they will only be morphed into American made race cars anyway.

It's worse than the whole Toyota situation! I remember hearing about Volkswagen possibly getting involved with NASCAR a couple of years ago, but never heard anything else until recently. I was hoping Volkswagen or NASCAR backed out, but that's obviously not the case.

I own a VW, so i'd like to be certain them enter NASCAR, yet as stated before, they were better fascinated in the activities motor vehicle racing. yet might want to they ever get the itch and mack the bounce to the actual 3 NASCAR sequence, i'd have a sparkling favourite producer.

Toyota was bad enough but even toyota owner's know Volkswagens are a joke. German engineering? blachhh. I think they give a common sense test to all German engineers and if they fail the test......they hire them!

They're all pretty much the same car now, it's just a matter of sponsorship. It's not as if NASCAR is going to turn down a good business deal.

Interesting. If they are coming to NASCAR I wonder what they would race? Bora/Jetta perhaps?

I don't like it. I just don't like Volkswagons in general, and to have them in NASCAR would be hideous.
