Christmas shopping and i need help!!!!!?

I have a very difficult list this year. First is my husband, a marine, that claims he has everything he wants. He's a typical country boy and air frames mechanic, but I have no clue what to get him. Next is my dad, who is a truck driver and on the road a lot. I want to get him something really meaningful because I've recently moved to the other side of the country and we miss each other dearly; I'm his youngest girl, and he spoiled me rotten. Then there's my mom, a cosmetologist and also on the other side of the country. I'd really like to get her a gift that makes her cry, in a good way of course. I kind of left her alone when I moved. Please help me get some ideas!!!!

Make your husband his favorite dinner and make a new dessert:

    Quick Banana Chocolate Chip Bars

    1 Cup Whole Wheat Flour

    ¾ Cup Brown Sugar, packed

    1 Teaspoon Baking Powder

    ½ Teaspoon Ground Cinnamon

    ¼ Teaspoon Salt

1/3 Cup Olive or Vegetable Oil

    2 Tablespoons Milk

    1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract

    1 Egg

    ¼ Cup Chopped Nuts

½ Cup Chocolate Chips (or what feels good)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray small rectangular or 9x9 square baking pan with non-stick spray.

Chop or mash banana. Combine with flour, brown sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, salt, oil, milk, vanilla and egg in large bowl. Stir in nuts and chocolate chips to this mixture OR save them to add as topping, sprinkling on top of mixture after poured into the pan. Bake for 25-30 minutes.

    Isabellas (Oatmeal Cookies)

    1 cup butter

    1/2 cup sugar

    1 tsp vanilla

    1 1/4 cups flour

    1 1/2 cups oats

    Dash salt, optional

    Powdered Sugar

Cream butter and sugar until light. Mix in vanilla, then flour, oats and salt. Chill thoroughly, about ½ hour in the refrigerator. Shape into small balls and place 2 inches apart on an ungreased baking sheet. Flatten with a fork, crisscrossing. Bake at 350 degrees for 12-18 minutes (depending on your oven). Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine all ingredients, let set 15 minutes. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto an ungreased baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown.

    Spicy Oatmeal Crisps

Pepper may sound like an odd ingredient for a cookie, but it complements the other spices well (although you can omit it if you prefer).

    3/4 cup all-purpose flour

    1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

    ½ teaspoon baking soda

    ½ teaspoon ground allspice

    ½ teaspoon grated whole nutmeg

    ¼ teaspoon salt

    ¼ teaspoon ground cloves

¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper (optional)

    1 cup packed brown sugar

5 tablespoons butter or stick margarine, softened

    1 teaspoon vanilla extract

    1 large egg

    ½ cup regular oats

    Cooking spray

Preheat oven to 350°. Lightly spoon flour into dry measuring cups; level with a knife. Combine flour and next 7 ingredients (flour through pepper) in a medium bowl. Beat sugar, butter, and vanilla in a large bowl with a mixer at medium speed until light and fluffy. Add egg; beat well. Stir in flour mixture and oats.

Drop by level tablespoons 2 inches apart onto baking sheets coated with cooking spray. Bake at 350° for 12 minutes or until crisp. Cool on pan 2 to 3 minutes or until firm. Remove cookies from pan; cool on wire racks.

I usually start my Christmas shopping at the end of October. I have been known to buy presents in July, I have spotted something that I know would be ideal for someone and bought it. The problem is I have also been known to put it away for safe keeping till Christmas and then forgotten about it. Earlier this year I was cleaning out some cupboards and came across a book that I had bought for my husband for Christmas and simply forgot about it. Still it was a nice surprise to have a present at Easter instead of Christmas, thank goodness I had not wrapped it in Christmas wrapping paper.
