My response would be different if an asteroid was going to smash into the planet, destroying all life on Earth, as opposed to just me having only 24 hours to live. If the former, I'd do nothing differently. If the latter, I'd ask my friend to take care of my cat.

No, I'm not. Got to do a lot of things. But if it's going to happen in 24 hours, I better tell everyone I love that I love them very much, and show it.
