how to get over the flu fast (or as quickly as possible)?
ok so this is a little different from my actual question I got the flu like a week ago and now it seems to be back (not cool). I don't have a runny nose or a cough this time I'm just achy and I have a sore throat and earlier my chest started hurting (like a stabbing pain) and even moving hurt it. Anyway I'm just wondering if any of the things I mentioned could be connected (I don't usually experience stabbing chest pain when I get the flu or any other time for that matter). I'm also thinking I could have some other type of infection or something like that. Regardless of the cause (let me know if you think its something other than the flu) how can I get rid of these symptoms (obviously drink fluids and rest oh and my chest seems fine now the pain went away about 5 minutes after it started). I'd really like to be better by monday (that probably won't happen but I'm hopeful); I have gymnastics practice and I missed an entire week the last time I was sick (about a week ago) and I really hate missing =( So thanks for reading this whole thing and I'm desperate so give me whatever advice you have, thanks
oh and remember I'm desperate people =(

Talk to your parents about this. Don't overdo things at first. Don't try to do too much. Drink plenty of fluids - staying hydrated will help you recover.

Just stay home, drink lots of fluids, keep warm by any means necessary and it would be best if you didn't take pills that lower bodily temperature, since it's the bodys natural way of fighting the disease. Other from that, there's nothing you can do. Flu is a virus and thus doesn't respond to anything much, except your immune system.
