Tell me True. Would keeping the short, old guy in the expensive suit off the field cure Dallas' problems?
Great businessmen are not necessarily great coaches, and as he drives the franchise farther and farther into the ground, everyone has to be wondering how much of his business success was luck. Will Jerry Jones be remembered as the man who destroyed a dynasty due to ego?

Jerry Jones is the typical Monday morning quarterback. He knows how to play football but he's still on the outside looking in. He had the best coach at one time in Johnson but his ego would not share the credit. People sometimes poke fun at Al Davis. You know the difference between Jerry Jones and Al Davis? Al Davis lives and breathes Raider football while to Jones it's just business. Jones needs to get up in the owners box and never step foot on the field again.

The problem is Dallas is indeed Jerry Jones. But you have to look back during the 90's to tell exactly what went wrong. Looking at the 90's the Cowboys had great players. They had HOF players like Emmit Smith, Michael Irvin, Troy Aikman, and others. Part of their success were the players. But the Cowboys also had great coaches. Jimmy Johnson was obviously a major reason why they won super bowls because he was a coaching genius. Also Switzer was a coach that many fans seem to forget about as he had success with Jerry's franchise. But my point is, when you look back to the dynasty era one thing seems to be missing today. The word is "control". Jerry Jones is a control freak at least he is right now. Ever since Dallas's final super bowl win, the Cowboys have been in constant free fall and the reason is because Jerry Jones wants to control football operations. During his super bowl runs, he allowed his coaches full control, not to mention he didn't have the GM title. Now, he lurks over his coaches and doesn't allow them the freedom to make plays. He is also the GM as we speak meaning he calls the shots personnel wise. Overall, you can chalk the Cowboys issues to excessive control. Until Jones backs off, he will see his franchise become a distant memory.
