A person who has true wisdom would probably not be interested in the pursuit of wealth. However nobody is born wise and one may become wealthy long before one attains wisdom.

Information must be digested to become knowledge
Knowledge must be practised to become understanding
Understanding must be matured to become wisdom"

I think, a wise person will take an appropriate decision
depending upon the circumstances and conditions of the time,
though he will always give more importance to the real knowledge.

why one or the other?Real knowledge does not lead to poverty, their is nothing good about being hungry or homeless.Having real knowledge and living comfortable is the way to go.There is also nothing wrong about having wealth and real knowledge,if you use they wealth to help those less well off, help discover cures for rare diseases, loads of positive things to do with wealth and be comfortable yourself.
