What kind of meat does turkey come from?
i know pork is from a pig,same with bacon and ribs. And beef and cattle both come from a cow.I know that chicken meat is from a chicken, but then turkey looks like it's also from a chicken, is it just called a different name for thanksgiving or is it just the meat from a diffeerent part of the chicken?

Pork comes from Hogs, ( a pig is a young hog ). Beef comes from cattle ( a cow is a female). Chicken comes from Chickens. Turkey comes from Turkeys. Turkeys & Chickens are two different species of domestic birds.

Uhhhhhh, just a shot in the dark here, but I am going to say turkey meat comes from a turkey. A turkey is a bird. ALMOST like a chicken, but not quite. =)

Turkey is from a old mountain bird that was nearly extinct until 1850 when it was brought back and crossed with the african yellow tailed horse radish and since then it has been grown in turkey and sold all over the world!!

oh... and cows and cattle are the same thing, just different names for the animal
