Chances of getting into University of Pennsylvania?
I have a sad average of 2.83 gpa... But I've been doing a lot of extra things at the side. I've been in two orchestras for the whole entire high school year, band for one year, two honor classes and 1 ap class. I haven't taken SAT... I feel like I have a super low chance of getting in.. However, I'm out-of-state, and I want to go into accounting. Any advice on how I high of a SAT score do I need and how to study for the SAT
If i was try to transfer from a community college, would my chances be higher?
actually i have a 3.09 gpa, which is still really low...

There's no way. Being in orchestras don't make up for that GPA. Even a great SAT score wouldn't help you now.
Try Penn State?

Unfortunately, I'd say you have much less than 0.05% of a chance of getting in with that GPA. And although you have some extracurricular activities and some honors/AP classes, that's almost nothing compared to the other applicants.
A "solid" SAT score to get into UPenn would be around 2200. Of course, this is no guarantee when it comes to actual admissions. The Ivies regularly turn down valedictorians with 4.0 GPAs and perfect 2400 SAT scores. As for studying... practice every day. Borrow a few books from the local library and self-study. If you school offers a SAT prep course, take it.
The only way you could transfer in from community college is if you maintain a GPA of at least 3.8-3.9 (out of 4.0), engage in many ECs but stick to one that you truly love, possibly become a leader in it. It would also help if you are a good writer when it comes to essays. Volunteer work never hurts, either.

It is about 18% in general. It is higher for legacies, recruited athletes, and underrepresented minorities and lower for students not in these groups.
