What Concerts Have You Been To?
Here's a list of live music experiences I've had:
http://rateyourmusic.com/list/KingCrimson776/live_...
If you've been to too many feel free to only put your favorites, and descriptions of the concerts along with any footage you could link from them or just of the band playing live in general would be cool.
BQ: Best live band ever?
BQ2: Genre which benefits the most from being played live?

I've been to hundreds of concerts so I'll just list the most memorable.
Lightning Bolt: I had no idea who they were, the show was $5 and within walking distance so I went. I had seen some great concerts before, but this was the best by far. They are a band that can only be fully appreciated in a live setting, even the live recordings don't capture the intensity of it. The sheer volume of the music coming from these 2 guys is just astounding.
Cramps: Lux Interior climbed on top of a 10 foot high monitor, wrenched the sweat out of his sock into his mouth and drank it.
Subhumans: I had the pleasure of singing a few lines of 'Rats' on stage. I get chills just thinking about it!
Pixies: Seeing them live was a dream come true, and they did not disappoint.
Superchunk: My band opened for them. They were great but being a part of it made it very special for me.
Paul Revere & The Raiders: This was in the 90s, well after their prime in the 60s and they played in what felt like a large bingo hall with bleachers. Regardless, they seriously rocked and my girlfriend gave me a BJ while they played 'Kicks'. It doesn't get much better than that!
BQ: I don't know about best ever, but for me it is Lightning Bolt.
BQ2: Jazz, because it is by nature improvisational. I think that a lot of people that hate jazz would reconsider once they have seen it live.

Well my first concert ever was Elton John in 1992 and I loved it. My mother had to go with me.
Then Paul Mc Cartney and the rolling stones in their 1993's tours. Off the ground and Voodo lounge
Then Michael Jackson Dangerous tour. Surprisingly I din't find this show as good as the Voodo Lounge tour. Guess he went through technical problems. Sadly and it's one of the regrets I'll have forever I couldn't attend the Pink Floyd gig that same year.I also missed the Guns and roses and the metallica concerts :(
In 1997 I went to Rolling stones again this time their tour was Bridges to Babylon. Then u2's Pop mart.
In 2002 Mc cartney was touring again so I went. Then in 2006 The rolling stones a bigger band tour and U2 vertigo tour. In 2007 Rod Stewart (awful! He didn't prepare physically for his tour and kept losing his breath)IThen the police , then a latin band called Soda stereo (amazing) . The Armin van buuren and DJ tiesto.
I was in Paul Mc Cartney's and ACDC concerts this year and kelly rowland and Kylie Minogue at Starfloor. Only four songs but Kelly Rowland totally killed it! Kylie was great too but not as I was expecting.
Based on what I've seen I would say that ACDC is better live it was hard to choose between them and THe rolling stones but they are my second place and u2 vertigo tour comes 3rd
The genre that benefits the most from being played live is Rock.

A LOT. too many to count. I've been going to punk shows and hanging out at punk venues/parties where there's a punk show almost every weekend since I was 15.
BQ: GWAR. not my favorite band, but definitely the funnest band to see live. go to one of their shows and you'll see what i mean.
BQ2: punk and any of its sub genres, or any kind of extreme metal (excluding all that core bull sh*t)
there's so much energy, such small venues, such a cheap budget, yet more fun than any arena show you'll ever go to.
