I bought "Yellow Submarine" by The Beatles off iTunes and the words sound very faint...?

I can barely hear them at all, except in the parts where there is no music. I was wondering, is this a problem I'm just having, or is it this way for anyone else? And also is it even a problem, or is it just because of how long ago the song was recorded? It's rather annoying.

:) Thanks for the help.

Update:

After going to bed deciding that iTunes is just The Man or something, I listened to it again this morning without my earphones in the laptop and it sounded just fine, so I'm supposing it's just my poor old earphones. Thank you for the help anyway, I really appreciate it. :)

Hi LM. I'm so sorry this happened to you on iTunes. No, YS is NOT supposed to sound that way. It could be a bug on your computer?

Just a personal opinion for whatever it's worth: Don't buy The Beatles on iTunes. Get the physical copy at Amazon/CD Now. This way you have a backup just in case your stuff gets stolen. Plus you can get great deals on the 2009 remasters, in NEW condition, from independent vendors all across the USA and the world. Just look under the bold retail price, at the section that says "buy used". There will usually be a boatload of copies from indy vendors that are new or slightly used for a huge discount. The only stuff I buy from iTunes is rare, one-hit wonders that I can't get on cd. Everything

else I purchase as a disc on CD Now. Good luck!

ps. Here's a troubleshooting trick on iTunes: Try playing around with your equalizer. You might've just buried the vocals with a weird setting. Let me know how it goes and Happy Holidays.
