Bleeding 5 weeks after C-section?

It sounds like you just got your regular period, you should have a 6 week post pardum check up soon, be sure to ask your doctor about it to be sure.

It very well could be your period. I got my first post-baby period 5 weeks and 2 days after having my son, even though I was breastfeeding on demand. I only had a few days to a week between the last of my normal baby bleeding, and getting my period. I also had a c-section.

lol, when I looked at my calendar after getting my period, I realized that that would have been the day to expect my period even if I had never been pregnant. I guess my cycle was just that "on-schedule"

My bleeding stopped and started a few times before it finally let up around 6-7 weeks with my last c-section. I remember thinking I was done then I suddenly got heavy flow again (totally unprepared). I know it wasn't my "period" because I didn't cycle again for about 3 more months LOL! It just happens sometimes.

It's normal, it happened to me too. I bled for about a month and a half, on and off again like you are explaining.

I didn't get a normal period for a couple months after the C. If you aren't having normal period symptoms it's most likely still the bleeding from the C.

Talk to your doc when you get your 6 week check up. I never got mine, my doc is an idiot.

I had a similar thing happen to me. I had a vaginal delivery though. I had bleeding after I had my son and then stopped for like a day maybe a day and a half. And then I started again and it seemed worse than the bleedin after I had my son. My doctor told me this was my first period.

Most likely acquired immuno deficiency syndrome. I suggest you go and see your doctor right away.
