Becasue when men were single they knew where everything was. As soon as the woman moves in they cant find anything anymore, ie the woman has: 1. Tidied it up 2. Washed it 3. Thrown it away 4. Put something else on top of it 5. Put something on top of it, then put the whole lot into a bag and stored it at back of a wardrobe somewhere 6. Decided I needed a new one so replaced it etc etc etc Hence the obvious thing to do if you cant find anything is ask the wife :)
