Has anybody ever been to Salsero night at the Tropican Hotel in Vegas?
I don't live anywhere near Vegas. I'm a writer and I need a description of where the Salsero night at the hotel is located. For example, is it in one of the ballrooms upstairs that I see on the map? Does anybody happen to know? Has anybody ever been and can maybe give a brief description of what the room looks like? I can't seem to find any pictures of it....
thank you!

Your best bet is to contact the Tropicana directly, ask for the Entertainment Director...the person in charge of booking entertainment at the property (I can find out who it is for you if necessary)...and they should be able to provide you with good quality promotional pictures.
It is typically on the ground floor, just off from the casino...just like all the major casinos...they have a 'lounge performance' area that is just off the casino for people to kick back, buy some drinks (yes, BUY, not free there...because you aren't gambling there)...and have a good time in a non-gaming, non-production show venue.
The Salsero night is typically comprised of local Latinos and their friends that are hired to come and dance...to guarantee there will be dancers there...to compliment the Latin band/DJ working that night (Pretty sure the Salsero night has a live band, but I haven't been there 'lately'...there are other spots I typically go to...but that may change come summer when the Trop's pool renovation/design changes are completed!!! They are going 'big time' South Beach...property-wide!!!)
You WILL have a hard time finding pics of it...it's NOT a BIG thing...small to medium size dance floor...just before the showroom.
Source(s): I own/run a Las Vegas based travel agency and event planning company...and I learned ALL the Latin dances while living in South Florida (Ft Lauderday/Miami) areas for around 7 years...and southern CA for another 5 years...so, I 'occassionally' check out these spots around town.
