I told a girl how I felt about her how can I break the awkwardness?
Im a 16 year old Junior from New Jersey. The girl I like is a Senior. On the last day of the Marching Band trip in Indianapolis, I told her how I felt about her. I just found out not by her but by a ton of people that she is secretly dating someone, but they are on a break cause of Band. It has been 2 weeks since I told her how I felt about her. I said hi to her today and she looked at me and said hi in a aggravated voice. Im not looking for a relationship, i just want her to tell me that she doesn't feel the same way about me and we can still be friends.

Well i'm a girl and i would say the reason why she is acting funny is because she doesn't want to hurt your feelings because she probably isn't feeling the same as you are. So to break the silence you should walk up to her and tell her listen i just wanted you to know how i felt and that is all and say so can we both forget it happened? and if she still acts the same well then she just is not worth it. Does she have a facebook? If so, message her and tell her how you feel. Tell her you aren't looking for a relationship and that you didn't mean to start any awkwardness between you two.
You could also catch her alone in person sometime and talk to her.
Either way, you need to talk to her and tell her how you feel or else things are just going to keep being awkward.
