West Ham v Man Utd League Cup. Isn't SAF fielding a much weaker team today?

Does Rule E20 not apply to the League Cup?

He is reportedly leaving out Berbatov, Nani, Sung, Vidic and Ferdinand.

Update:

Oh ! AND he is leaving out Rooney. I forgot all about him. LOL.

It would appear that it does not matter for the League Cup. When Wolves were in trouble for fielding a weaker team in the Premier League against Manchester Utd in December 2009, no mention was made of the fact that they did the same thing in the League Cup and they even got a result!

Sir Alex Ferguson is the manager of Manchester United, and as such, is in charge of fielding whatever team he likes.

The same applies to every other team.

What is the point in having managers if the F.A are going to try to pick the teams themselves?

"Rule E20" is just 1 more example of what is wrong with this countries Football Association.

Oh SAF thinks he can apply his own rules, SAF is overated quite frankly he was given 7 years to win the league. He needs to have some cop on, he is a pr*ck.

I wonder how many Glory hunters will be watching the game or will just check the result?

Yes he is. No one cares. They shouldn't care either. It should be a managers right to field whatever team possible in any game, to help his team else where in a bigger competition e.g. the league.
